Should I wear my Cheesehead to an away game? I am going to the Packers at Chiefs preseason game in KC and was wonder if it was in bad taste to wear my Cheesehead not in Lambeau.

Hi Gia -

I think if we get anywhere close to that level of participation at our companies, we'd be doing really well!

Which does get me on the tangent of what do The Packers do really, really well? Years of investment and regularly scheduled events. Competitive environment. Clothing. Regional pride. Old school app community (i.e. tailgating and other events that happen around their core product). Distribution to a bigger audience. Face paint. I'm creating a nice metaphor here although I think we've got a ways to go until companies offer corporate colored face paint :)

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Go Pats!!! (sorry, not from WI!)

I'm an honorary Cheesehead from living near Milwaukee for most of the '90s. I'll ALWAYS be a Packer Backer, but I'm loving Favre with the Vikings this year.

Now, on to the topic. ;)

You totally nailed it by associating "Cheesehead" with your community MVPs and advocates. I've never experienced elsewhere the passion and tight community that Packer supporters exhibit in my life. Donning the green and gold and cheering for the Lambeau boys instantly gives you entree into the community and makes you feel like you belong, regardless of whatever else you are or do.
