Jay/Kathryn -

Thanks again for your frank feedback - we've taken a stab at being much clearer about what services we offer and have published a Membership page here: http://community-roundtable.com/about/memberships/

As a young business, it's great to get this kind of feedback and see ourselves from an outsider's perspective. Greatly appreciate your help in that!

Hi Kathryn -

Thank you for the comment - we clearly need to provide a little more information - based on your and Jay's comments, we are taking a look at our site and how we can make the offering and pricing clearer.

We appreciate the feedback!

I have no problem paying some kind of fee for access to great info/contacts/etc. But I spent 5 minutes on your site and could not find anything about membership levels or pricing. I see from previous comments a reference to $750, but I could not find that. The "get involved" button requires me to fill in a lot of info without a clear explanation of why...what happens if I share all of that info? What will I get? Do I have to fill out my personal info just to see pricing?

Hi Jay -

Thank you for your frank feedback - we appreciate it. Part of the reason we've been hesitant to list pricing is that we've been offering founding member rates of $750 but only have a few more spots left at that rate and we offer discounts for organizations with more than one member. We also very much want to continue the conversation with people who may not be able to join at this time via our blog, Twitter account, and in person lunches. But your point is a fair one - we'll take the action to update our About page with more specifics on pricing. Thanks!

Well, as seems to often be the case, right after I posted my first comment I did in fact find a link that provided some of the cost information. However, it took me two clicks to get to a page and then there is still some ambiguity as to what the current charges are. Quite honestly, as a graduate student, even $750 out of my personal pocket is a little steep. While I am interested, I will probably have to be more of an outside observer for now.

While I do not mind paying a fee for something of value, I would also like to know how much I can be expected to pay and what I am receiving in return. I think you addressed the second issue above and in other places on your site. What I have been unable to determine is how much I would be expected to pay. Your "Get Involved" page does not tell me - and it does not tell me when you will tell me. One simple element of building trust and engagement is full disclosure. I have hesitated to give you my information for the very reason that I do not know what I am getting myself in to. I would very much appreciate it if you would clarify what the cost of membership is and what the benefit is of that cost. Thanks.
